- What is your photography education and experience?
-
I come from a high level of professional photography training and education. After learning the basics of photography in high school, I studied commercial photography for four years in one of the top photography programs in the state of Ohio, the Visual Communications program at Ohio University.
After receiving my degree, I began an internship at one of Akron's only elite photo and video commercial production studios where they produced visuals for both local, national and international businesses. After the conclusion of my internship, I was offered a position as a photographer and digital artist at one of the only studios in North East Ohio owned by two certified Master Photographers certified through Professional Photographers Association. While working there I learned the in's and out's of the portrait and wedding photography industry. I opened my own business in 2019 after working 3 wedding seasons at the studio. After starting my own business, I sought to continue my education further by seeking a professional business mentor. Since 2020, I have been individually mentored by one of the top international wedding photographers living in the United States, Scott Robert Lim. Scott travels across the country speaking at conferences and expos, is a Sony Artisan of Imagery and is known globally for his wedding photography.
Since going full time with photography I have begun mentoring photographers, spoke at conferences and conducted my own workshops for aspiring photographers.
- What is the booking process like?
-
I try to meet with wedding clients 3 times before their wedding date. The first time is an initial consult which allows you to get a better feel for who I am, my background, how I shoot weddings and also give me the opportunity to find out more about your love story about your wedding day. This meeting usually takes place before booking occurs. Our second meeting takes place after your date has been booked and the deposit is placed. During this meeting we'll plan out the whole day of photography and make sure both you, your fiance and myself know exactly what’s going on. The third time we meet we'll go over the schedule one last time before the wedding and make sure nothing has changed.
If you book an engagement, boudoir, or bridal session, we’ll likely meet even more than 3 times!
- What’s your favorite part about photographing weddings?
-
By far, my favorite part is the relationships I build with my wedding clients. Spending one of the biggest, most intimate days of their lives allows me to build a relationship with them unlike most of my other clients.
- What is your style of wedding photography?
-
I describe my style of wedding photography as vibrant cinematic portraiture. My goal when photographing a wedding is to create images that when you look back on them years from now, you’ll remember that day like it was your favorite movie. I use professional studio lighting and the latest camera equipment throughout the whole day to ensure your photos standout from those of your family and friends' weddings.
- Do you offer prints?
-
Yes! All of my collections include printing rights, and some include prints in the collections. But if a Walmart or Walgreens print just isn’t going to cut it, you can order any photo from your online gallery through a professional print lab I use. The prints are personally guaranteed for life, so you don’t have to worry about them fading or getting destroyed.
- How does the album design process work?
-
Every wedding collection booked with me receives a complimentary album design. I will hand pick images from every part of your wedding day and create a beautifully laid out album for you to review and select the pages you want included in your final album.
From there, you will be able to select other images from the gallery that you may want swapped out, or added into a spread.
Once the design is complete, I’ll send over a proof to you so you can review it and see if there are any final changes you’d like to make. Once you approve the layout and design, the album is off to be printed!
- How are payments made?
-
Q: How are payments made? Payments for wedding packages are paid in two 50% installments. The first one serves as a non-refundable retainer at the time of booking, and the second payment is due 7 days before your wedding. All payments can be made by check, cash, or card payments.
